ABOUT US D is for Design.... Gail Dunnett and Johanna Meise have over twenty years experience in the home furnishings and design industry. Gail has been sourcing, developing, and merchandising for leaders in the home furnishings industry for many years. With a business degree from Wharton and a Management Consulting background from Bain & Co. under her belt, Gail melded her love of business with that of interiors to earn a promotion to Director of Merchandising for Exposures Homes and further recruited by Pottery Barn in San Francisco. She then left to follow her dream, thus founding studio D with San Francisco furniture entrepreneur Johanna Meise, providing unparalleled home staging, design and retail stores to the Bay Area. Johanna Meise, has a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and passion for interiors. When it comes to decorating & design, Johanna has been a source of inspiration for friends and family for as long as she can remember. The driving force of Johanna’s creativity is an innate desire for harmony & balance in the home. After working with interior designers for many years, Johanna started her own successful home furnishing's business from her home, assisting clients with selections of imported furnishings and accents for the home. Johanna and Gail travel local and abroad for inspirational ideas to infuse the company with fresh & exciting looks while adding value for Developers, Retailers, Homeowners, and Commercial/Residential design clients since 2003.
